Role Plays - Speaking Activity

 

In this activity, students will be asked to play a role (sport situations). Before the lesson, teacher prepare the index cards. In the card, it is already written the things that students can do . For example :-

  • You broke your leg playing sports. You are at the hospital and your parent comes to see and want to know what happened. Tell your parent how you broke your leg.
Instructions
  1. Organize students into small groups. Give each group an index card with a situation written on it.
  2. Tell students that members of each group will work together to dramatize the scene on the card.
  3. Give students a few minutes to brainstorm ideas for the scene. Have each group act out the situation.
  4. Let the class discuss the scenes and outcomes.
  5. Write students' responses on the board or on a chart.
